A year ago, we launched ourselves on the market as a digital certifier of carbon credits and stocks. During this period, we guarantee the fulfillment of our mission in the market: We unite our own methodologies, developed for the reality of the Amazon and Brazil, with technologies that simplify project registration, providing transparency and security in asset transactions.
Our actions speak louder than words; – construction moments in the office, at events, immersed in the Amazon, carrying out public consultations. We are fully convinced that, just as the voluntary carbon market has progressed, we, as a certifier, share the same objective!
We thank everyone who was part of this first year and we extend a warm welcome to our second year! With the authentic essence of the Amazon and Brazil!
Yours sincerely, Tero Carbon Team
About Tero Carbon
Tero Carbon is a digital certifier of carbon credit and stock that has its own methodologies for generating certified quality environmental assets, such as Carbon Credit and Carbon Stock.
We have developed a platform that, in addition to facilitating the registration and certification process, uses Blockchain technology to generate issue, transfer and retirement certificates (NFT), providing greater transparency, traceability and avoiding double counting.
Tero Carbon is a Brazilian certifier, located in Manaus, Amazonas, in the middle of the Amazon Forest. We are very proud to be supported and guaranteed by the Federation of Industries of the Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Amazonas (FIEAM), which shares the mission of contributing to the economic development of the region, now also through a carbon market.
We invite you to participate in our online seminar: TERO.002 Methodology – REDD v1.0.
During the event, our CEO, Francisco Higuchi, will give a detailed presentation of the TERO.002 Methodology – REDD v1.0, which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through Avoided Planned Deforestation (APD). Our approach prioritizes environmental impacts and the preservation of biodiversity and forests. In addition, we will address eligible rural properties, including both public and private properties with natural forests.

Our dedication to the transparency of procedures and community involvement in methodology discussions is a fundamental value present in all our certifications. By rigorously following these principles, we have reached the final stage of version 1.0 of the TERO.002 – REDD Methodology, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
The steps taken to complete version 1.0 were:
We provide the PDF containing the TERO.002 – REDD Methodology and an online form open to the public during the period from 05/22/2023 to 06/21/2023. This public consultation process allowed people to express their opinions, suggestions and doubts, promoting democratic participation and opening up space for different perspectives.
From 06/22/2023 to 07/23/2023, we carefully analyzed all contributions received through the public form, taking into account the suggestions and criticisms presented. This review demonstrates our commitment to valuing public feedback and making informed decisions.
Today, on 07/24/2023, we are pleased to announce the publication of version 1.0 of the TERO.002 – REDD Methodology. This final version reflects the entire public consultation process and incorporates the contributions received, ensuring full transparency in the development of the methodology.
On 08/23/2023, at 2 pm, we will hold an online seminar to provide an overview of the TERO.002 – REDD Methodology and to interact with the public on the feedback and suggestions received. Soon we will provide more information about the event.

Week marked by important events related to the carbon market. During the 19th and 20th of June, our CEO Francisco Higuchi and part of our team had the opportunity to discuss significant advances in this sector and present regulatory proposals. Follow the details below..
In Manaus – On the 19th, we participated in a special meeting with the Environmental Coordination of the Public Ministry of Accounts (MPC).
The meeting aimed to discuss the carbon market in the state of Amazonas and highlight its importance for environmental preservation. On that occasion, we presented the carbon market project in partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of Amazonas (FIEAM). In addition, we had the presence of representatives of the OAB/AM and the MPC, enriching the discussion.

In Brasília – On Tuesday, the 20th, we participated in the event “Dialogue: Regulated Carbon Market and Industrial Competitiveness”, promoted by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI). During the event, CNI presented its proposal for the implementation of a regulated carbon emissions trading system in Brazil. This initiative is essential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and has an estimated potential of up to BRL 128 billion in revenue, according to the Partnership for Market Readiness (PMR) project.
Our participation in these events was extremely relevant, as we reinforced our commitment to the carbon market in Brazil and established valuable connections with other professionals and industry leaders. We believe in the potential of this market and are committed to driving its growth.

We are excited about the advances made and committed to contributing to building a sustainable future through the carbon market. Follow our next updates to learn more about our initiatives and partnerships in this field that is so important for the environment.
The Public Consultation of the TERO.002 – REDD Methodology is open and will receive comments and suggestions from interested parties until 06/21 at 11:59 pm.
The TERO.002 – REDD Methodology has as its main objective the generation of verified carbon credits from forestry projects through Avoided Planned Deforestation (APD) in the Amazon Biome. REDD stands for Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation.
The approach in this methodology is based on environmental impacts, focusing on keeping the forest standing, on the preservation and conservation of biodiversity. Eligible rural properties include both public and private properties with natural forests in the Amazon Biome.
The objective of the public consultation is the collective contribution to the definition of a methodological approach, which is essential for the implementation of actions that promote environmental preservation and sustainable development.
