The Tero Carbon Programs have been developed with the aim of democratizing access to the carbon market, promoting the participation of Brazilian initiatives from small to large-scale projects on the global stage. Our commitment extends beyond mere certification, always striving to meet the highest international standards of the carbon market. The programs ensure that issued offset credits are additional, present measurable socio-environmental co-benefits, are based on realistic and credible baselines, and are quantified, monitored, reported, and verified (MRV).

Our three main programs include Certification for nature-based solutions (NBS) and technology-based solutions (TBS) projects, the development of robust Methodologies for emissions quantification and verification, and the Registration and Use of environmental assets. These programs are designed to meet the highest international standards, ensuring that Brazilian initiatives have an inclusive and significant role in the global carbon market.

To assist developers in submitting their methodologies and projects, we provide a series of documents including guidelines, templates, and tools. These resources have been carefully crafted to facilitate compliance with our processes and ensure the quality of submissions. It is essential that these documents are utilized.

We welcome suggestions for the continuous improvement of the Programs and complementary documents.
