Tero Carbon announces that, following the conclusion of the public consultation period, the TERO.007 – Agricultural Land Management (ALM) Methodology, version 1.0, is now formally approved to receive, register, and certify projects under the Tero Carbon Certification Program.

The public consultation process, conducted between November 6, 2025, and January 5, 2026, reinforces Tero Carbon’s institutional commitment to transparency, technical rigor, and qualified market participation.

The TERO.007 – ALM methodology was developed in co-authorship by Hdom Consultoria Ambiental and the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture of the University of São Paulo (CENA/USP), combining well-established expertise in carbon methodologies with scientific excellence applied to the Brazilian agricultural context. This collaboration provides the methodology with a high level of technical robustness, a solid scientific foundation, and practical applicability across agricultural land management systems in Brazil.

In addition, the methodology is fully aligned with:

  • Current Brazilian legislation, including Law No. 15,042/2024 and Law No. 14,119/2021 (Brazilian Emissions Trading System – SBCE);
  • The Tero Program Technical Guidelines, particularly TC-DC.CER.003 (v1.2);
  • And international environmental integrity standards, such as ICROA and ICAO/CORSIA.

With the completion of this stage, Tero Carbon reaffirms its role as a leading Brazilian certification body, committed to environmental integrity, the credibility of certified assets, and the strengthening of the national carbon market—especially within the agricultural sector.

We invite project developers, consultants, and other market participants to review the methodology and begin submitting projects under the TERO.007 – ALM framework.
